About Sheila Carrera-Justiz
Dr. Carrera-Justiz is a clinical veterinary neurologist and neurosurgeon. She grew up in Miami, Florida and has lived across the US for training. She spent four years in a large private practice in Los Angeles prior to coming to UF.

Clinical Profile
Dr. Carrera-Justiz’s work focuses on domestic cats and dogs. Cases involving exotic and large animal patients are seen through their primary service and a consultation can be performed at their request.
Research Profile
Dr. Carrera-Justiz’s research is primarily clinical and collaborative in nature. Her research efforts span from current diseases in dogs to documenting normals in exotic species. She also has an interest in novel treatment of glioma in dogs.
