Communications

Our office publicizes the research, clinical and academic accomplishments of current faculty, staff and students. We create and distribute news releases and news publications about these institutions, provide support to the news media, assist with and promote internal communication through various mechanisms and provide other communication services to the UF College of Veterinary Medicine and the UF Veterinary Hospitals as needed. We produce a nationally syndicated podcast aimed at pet owners, Animal Airwaves, through UF Health and working with WUFT-FM, and engage in strategic communications efforts and initiatives to more broadly share the college’s stories and messages across a variety of key publics.

We also manage our social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, and welcome everyone to follow our latest happenings through those venues. The Florida Veterinarian, our college’s magazine, is printed twice a year and sent to alumni, friends and donors, members of the media and others who request to be on our mailing list. The Veterinary Page, our internal newsletter, is published online monthly for faculty, staff and students of the college and contains some of our most timely updates.

Member of the media who seek assistance with interview requests or general information about the college should contact our director, Sarah Carey, at 352-294-4242 or via email at careysk@ufl.edu.
