– Board-certified veterinary small animal surgeon and current Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS-SA) and ACVS Fellow in Soft Tissue Minimally Invasive Surgery
– Clinical focus in soft tissue surgery (ie abdominal, thoracic, skin&recon, oncology, airway, etc) with advanced training in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
Research Profile
– Primary research interest focuses on gastrointestinal (GI) surgery and GI surgical techniques including gastric resection, anastomoses, enterotomies, and its effects on the microvascular blood flow of the GI tract.
– Second area of focus involves brachycephalic airway syndrome (BAS), which can cause dogs to suffer from upper airway obstruction and inspiratory dyspnea.
– Additional research interests in various aspects of soft tissue surgery including minimally invasive surgery (MIS), laryngeal paralysis, parathyroid disease, and other surgical disease processes.
