Chiara De Gennaro, DVM, DECVAA, FRCVS

Dr. De Gennaro graduated from the Veterinary University of Pisa (Italy) in 2003. After spending seven years working in general and referrals practices in Italy, she moved to Dick White Referrals (UK) in 2010, where she started a three-year residency program in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. In 2015, she became European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA) and worked as Consultant Anaesthetist at Dick White Referrals until November 2022. In 2015, Dr. De Gennaro became a RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia. Dr. De Gennaro is member of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists, author of international publications and speaker at several courses about Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. She has supervised and co-supervised interns and residents that have successfully passed the ECVAA examination. Her main interests are clinical anaesthesia, pain management and loco-regional anaesthesia. During her free time, Dr. De Gennaro enjoys cooking, playing tennis and hiking with her dog.
