Research Profile
Identifying most common pathogens affecting young and adult captive White-tailed deer in Florida.
Identifying the role of introduced and native wildlife host for infectious diseases, with special interest in HD.
Development of fast field diagnostics procedures to identify EHD and BT to help shorten reaction time to take preventive measurements.
Development of a methodology that incorporates host, vector, geographic and environmental data to develop predictive maps to identify high-risk areas for EHD and BT outbreaks. Understand how anthropogenic land changes affects native and introduced wildlife distribution and the emergence of zoonotic disease.
