Training or Skills

  • DNA studies/extraction
  • Microsatellite typing, and homozygosity mapping
  • Perform DNA analyses using biochemical techniques, autoradiography and the PCV from blood and tissue samples
  • Protein analysis with Western blotting, immunoprecipitation and staining procedures
  • Gene analysis and therapy with novel vectors and protocols
  • Cell culture creation and maintenance
  • Create and edit high quality drawings and 2X2 slides
  • Maintain and modify protocols for the evaluation of drugs influencing intraocular pressure.
  • Collect, organize and analyze results and submit final data to faculty.
  • Conduct independent statistical analyses using available software.
