About Aitor Gallastegui Menoyo

Aitor Gallastegui, LV, MSc is a clinical assistant professor of veterinary medicine in the division of diagnostic imaging at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Gallastegui completed his veterinary degree at the Veterinary College of the University of Zaragoza (Spain). Following several years of practice at an equine referral hospital he completed a rotating internship and a Masters degree in equine pulmonary neurolectrostimulation at the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph (ON, Canada) and a residency program in veterinary diagnostic imaging at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY.

Dr Gallastegui’s clinical interests include the use of advanced diagnostic imaging modalities with particular interest in CT, MRI, and ultrasonography, and the use of image guided minimally invasive procedures. He believes strongly in performing individualized diagnostic imaging studies tailored to optimize the treatment needs of each patient.

Professional affiliations include American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR), CT/MRI society, Veterinary Ultrasound society, and Spanish Association of Specialized Veterinarians (AVEDE).
