Accreditation: Strategic Priorities

VAB

The Council on Education of the American Veterinary Medical Association accredits Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent educational programs at colleges or schools of veterinary medicine. Accreditation site visits occur on a seven-year cycle, and our next accreditation site visit will take place in the Fall of 2022. We commit to a thorough, rigorous, and well-planned preparation process in anticipation of this visit, and will provide regular updates on progress and schedule.

To achieve our goal of maintaining accreditation in the fall of 2021, we will be reviewing the updated AVMA Council on Education (COE) standards and adopting any needed changes. We will conduct a complete inspection of our facility by the end of May of 2021 to budget and implement any renovations necessary for the 2022 inspection. We will compile and submit our self-study report by July 2022 in preparation for the site visit.
