DVM/MPH Collaborative Progam
Applicants interested in veterinary public health should consider the DVM/MPH degree at the University of Florida. This program provides an excellent foundation for students wishing to pursue public health positions in research, government, international health, and private industry. Public health-trained veterinarians are uniquely qualified to address and meet the needs of emerging diseases, food system problems, and respond to acts of bioterrorism.
The DVM/MPH degree is offered jointly by the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Veterinary Medicine. Applicants to the DVM/MPH program must be admitted through the normal DVM admissions process prior to acceptance in the joint degree program. Course pre-requisites and other requirements are identical for admission to both the DVM and DVM/MPH programs. For more information visit the Joint degree programs section at the College of Public Health and Health Professions website.
