Research Interests:

I have broad interests in experimental and veterinary pathology.  Research interests in experimental pathology focus on pathogenesis of viral respiratory disease with recent emphasis on canine influenza virus infection.  Interests in veterinary pathology are diverse and stem from case-based studies in the UF Veterinary Medical Center on diseases affecting horses, cattle, companion animals as well as laboratory animals used in research.  I coordinate the Laboratory of Comparative Pathology that provides veterinary pathology support to University of Florida research investigators in areas ranging from gene therapy and stem cell therapy to transgenic mouse models of human disease.
