Research Interests:
One of my main interests is collection of information on the pharmacodynamics and kinetics of drugs administered to animals in the peri-operative period. This would include anesthetics, analgesics, tranquilizers and drugs affecting the autonomic nervous system. A lot of drugs are used without valid data and animal safety is often placed at risk. I have worked with a wide spectrum of species from laboratory animals to marine mammals.
Other interests include testing of novel drug formulations and increasing the availability of FDA approved drugs in minor species.
