Hill's Florida Orientation Leadership Experience

Welcome and Family Day Celebration

Orientation for the Class of 2013 will be held during August 2009. The college holds three programs for students and their families.

Orientation Presentations, Monday, Aug. 10

College representatives will present programs regarding financial aid, health insurance, student organizations/clubs, and other vital information. The Florida Veterinary Medical Association will have a welcome presentation as well.

Welcome and Orientation for Students, Tuesday, Aug. 11

The orientation program consists of lockers and mailbox key distributions, library orientation, ID cards, tours of the Health Science Center and on campus, immunization shots and other vital information.

Florida Orientation Leadership Experience, Aug. 12 & 13

This is a special 2-day program to provide information and experiential activities that will encourage the development of leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. These activities focus on how to work well with others and encourages the formation of trust. Dates and times will be announced at a later date.

Welcome and Family Day Celebration, Friday, Aug. 14

Parents and friends are invited to a special Welcome and Family Day Celebration orientation about what their students will learn during his/her four years at veterinary school. This includes a campus tour, exposure to the hospital and working environment, and several demostrations. 

We ask the families to attend one session of this two-session presentation. The first group starts at 9 AM and should be students with last names beginning A-G. the second group starts at 10:30 AM and should be students with last names beginning H-Y. See Agenda
