How to Help

WHO MAKES OPERATION CATNIP POSSIBLE?

  1. FERAL CAT CARETAKERS - Hundreds of caring individuals have stepped forward to feed and watch over feral cat colonies in their neighborhoods. These caretakers assume the responsibility to trap and transport the cats to and from the clinics. Find out how you can become a caretaker for your local chapter.
  2. VOLUNTEERS - Operation Catnip is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. Licensed veterinarians perform all spays and neuters while vet technicians and a core of veterinary students provide technical skills. In addition, a variety of administrative and technical positions are filled by other dedicated volunteers. Operation Catnip is always looking for your help. No experience is necessary but a rabies vaccination is required.

FREE VS. NO-COST
Thanks to the veterinarians and other volunteers who generously donate their time, Operation Catnip can offer a no-cost spay/neuter clinic for unowned cats. However, nothing is ever FREE. The cost of supplies is very high. We rely mainly on donations from concerned animal lovers and anyone bringing a cat into our clinic. Currently the cost per cat is approximately $25. So please be as generous as possible. Donations are tax-deductible.

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!

In lieu of a traditional gift on your next gift-giving occasion, please consider a contribution to Operation Catnip in the name of those on your gift list or to honor a loved one. All contributions will be acknowledged to the donor and to the person in whose name the gift is made.

Other ways you can help--Operation Catnip has a long wish list of needed items and services, including:

  • Clinic Volunteers
