Mission Statement

The Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences (LACS) is responsible for the educational, scholarly, outreach and service missions of the College in the areas of animal health care for food animals, equine, companion animals and ornamental fish. The Department shares the responsibility for the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) with the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. The VMC provides the setting and fundamental resources for both instructional and clinical research in the Department
